We are excited to welcome a proactive and motivated Grants Specialist Associate to support and further develop our public funding and grants activities. This role will be key to ensuring the identification, application, and successful management of competitive public grants that support our R&D strategy.

Flomics is a fast-growing biotech company founded in 2018 in Barcelona. We are developing a revolutionary liquid biopsy test for the early detection of cancer, based on the analysis of cell-free RNA in blood. By combining cutting-edge genomics with advanced bioinformatics and machine learning, we’re identifying novel biomarker signatures that can transform diagnostics. Our goal: make cancer detection simple, scalable – and possible from just a single blood sample.

What we are looking for
- University degree in a relevant field such as biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, project management or similar.
- Around 3 years of experience in project management, grants management, public funding, or a related role preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial soul, proactive attitude.
- Capacity to work in a fast-growing and constantly changing environment.
- English and Spanish fluency, catalan will be a plus.
- Ability to use digital and AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, organization, and reporting quality.
Your responsibilities
- Scout for public funding and collaboration opportunities at regional, national, and international levels.
- Lead project ideation, consortium building and decision-making at grants or collaborative projects level
- Coordinate and prepare grant application documentation in collaboration with research and management teams.
- Follow up on ongoing projects, ensuring compliance with technical and financial reporting requirements.
- Support the preparation of justifications, reports, and documentation required by funding bodies or external collaborators.
- Act as a coordination point between internal teams and external stakeholders related to our projects.
- Be committed to the development of Flomics.
